BigCommerce Connector

After a thorough analysis, our team has recognized an opportunity to enhance the efficiency of our BigCommerce connector, ensuring optimum server load management and streamlining API request processes. This update not only addresses an immediate concern but also introduces optimizations to benefit all BigCommerce customers.

1. Enhanced API Endpoint Utilization:
   Previously, BigCommerce customers were directing landing page API requests to a less optimized endpoint. The appropriate endpoints for these requests were not being used. This oversight potential risked overload on Lucene servers, especially during heavy indexing periods for BigCommerce clients with many landing pages. With this update, we've redirected these requests to the optimal endpoints, ensuring better load distribution and reduced strain on the Lucene servers.
2. Optimized Landing Page Update Process:
   To enhance efficiency, the connector will now compare the existing landing page with the proposed updated landing page before making update requests. This reduces unnecessary API calls and ensures that only essential updates are processed.
3. Dashboard URL Logic in Import:
   We've incorporated logic into the import process, which will use the Dashboard URL for clients that are pointed to BL Production for Dashboard API requests. This further streamlines the request process, ensuring that the right endpoint is always utilized.
4. Excluding Inactive Stores:
   To further reduce unnecessary server interactions, we have excluded disabled stores from the storefront manager. This ensures that the connector only interacts with active and relevant data sources.
