Email Notifications

Overview

Did you know that you can receive Email Notifications if your indexing failed? A good search result starts with good data, but not every time a data feed comes through correct. When an indexing process returns an error you can setup email notifications to your system admin in order to identify and avoid any problems. That's why Hawksearch provides the tools for you to identify the errors to work for you.

From the Workbench tab, you can navigate to Workbench Settings and then Email Notifications.

There are three types of Email Notifications available:

  • Dashboard Report
The Dashboard Report provides an overview of the dashboard tabs, which you can customize and schedule to be delivered on a scheduled basis.

    • Hompage Report
    • Detailed Report
  • Indexing Failure
Indexing Failure allows users to only get email notifications in the event of a failure and not on every successful indexing run.

  • Indexing Notification
Indexing Notifications will send you both successful and failed indexing statuses, which can also be delivered on a scheduled basis.

  • Indexing Duplicated/Pending
Indexing Duplicated/Pending notifications alert you to any duplicated or pending indexing tasks, ensuring your search functionality remains up-to-date and efficient

  • Index with Insufficient Records
Index with Insufficient Records notifications keep you informed when your index has insufficient records, helping you maintain optimal search performance and relevance

Below is an example of the schedule available to set up notifications:

  1. The "Execution Time" is what time of the day the email notification should be sent.

  2. The "Recurrency" field is how often the email notification should be sent.

  3. The "Duration" field is how long the email notification should be sent.

In the example Email Notification above, this email will be sent every Monday at 8:00 AM and the last email notification will be sent on 12/31/2030.
