Overview

The Item Information view in Explain now displays all Boost/Bury and Visibility rules related to an item. This information provides you with a clearer understanding of how different rules affect each item, improving transparency and decision-making.

Viewing the Rules

Navigation

To view the rules, please follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to Preview

2. Click on the Boost button on the item you would like to inspect

3. Click on the Explain button to open the Item Information popup

   

Boost/Bury Rules

To view the Boost/Bury rules applied to the selected item, please follow the steps below:

1. Select the Boost/Bury tab
2. Rule: Name of the Boost/Bury rule applied to the item. Click on the rule name to go directly to the rule's edit page.
3. Global/Conditional: Indicates whether the Boost/Bury rule is global (applies to all items) or conditional (applies under specific conditions).
4. Boost: Displays the boost or bury value set for the rule.
5. Priority: Shows the priority level of the Boost/Bury rule, indicating its importance relative to other rules.

Visibility Rules

To view the visibility rules applied to items, please follow the steps below:

1. Please click on the gear icon at the bottom right corner to open the smart bar
2. In the smart bar menu, please toggle off the Visiblity Rules
3. Items hidden by visibility rules will now be circled in red boxes, allowing you to see which items were affected.
