The May 2026 release focuses on expanding analytics visibility, improving merchandising flexibility, and strengthening platform reliability. Key areas include new Advanced Analytics reporting experiences, autocomplete banner support, Control Engine configuration management improvements, Search and Autocomplete API updates, Dashboard and Redirect API hardening, and continued improvements to Smart Response and QuickStart workflows.
Release Highlights
- New Advanced Analytics reporting experiences have been added, including a high-level Dashboard report and a Search Performance report.
- The Advanced Analytics Dashboard provides an executive-style summary of key performance metrics with links into more detailed reports.
- The Search Performance report helps users evaluate search effectiveness through metrics such as click-through rate, searches with no results, total searches, searches per unique visitor, and result-position engagement.
- Autocomplete now supports banners, allowing promotional content to appear earlier in the search journey. See User Guide Documentation for more details
- Control Engine configuration management has been expanded to support shared configuration between Control Engines and child engines, including local override behavior for synced values.
- Local override support has been added for configuration areas such as keyword replacements, synonyms, stop words, profanity filters, and protected words.
- Autocomplete category handling has been improved to ensure category suggestions appear as expected when category facets are configured.
- French translations have been added for additional units of measure.
- QuickStart waiting-page content has been updated to improve the user experience while an engine is being created.
Stability & Performance Updates
- Search behavior was improved to reduce inconsistent result responses caused by personalization/recommendation timeout scenarios.
- Search phrase handling was updated to avoid unexpected truncation when keyword word-limit configuration is not explicitly defined.
- Dashboard API validation was improved to prevent duplicate primary key field configurations.
- Redirect API error handling was improved to prevent successful operations from returning unexpected type errors.
- Redirect creation endpoints now better handle values that exceed supported database limits instead of returning unclear server errors.
- URL parameter processing limits were added to reduce the risk of excessive resource usage from unusually large request payloads.
- Smart Response prompt saving was improved to prevent product card configuration values from being unintentionally cleared.
- Smart Response documentation was updated to clarify required configuration values.
